Buyers want to buy. Sellers want to sell. When everyone works together instead of against each other, deals happen.

Welcome to another day in real estate. Today I want to talk about collaboration, because I'm seeing it come back, and I love it.

Collaboration went away during the crazy years. During 2021 and 2022, when things were absolutely crazy, collaboration between agents went out the window. Listing agents stopped collaborating. The good ones, the ones who have been around for a while, stayed collaborative and tried to put things in place to make those multiple-offer situations easier. But a lot of agents just became adversarial, and unfortunately, some of that has carried on.

Today's market is like two negative magnets. Sellers are still coming off that 2021 and 2022 mentality, holding every single penny possible. Buyers need every little bit they can get because of costs, interest rates, and insurance all going up. You're trying to push two sides together that are naturally pulling apart. Collaboration and a little bit of give is necessary in this market.

Agents, be collaborative with the other side. Work together to make things happen. Win-win. Buyers want to buy and sellers want to sell. When agents on both sides of a deal are working together instead of against each other, deals get done.

Buyers and sellers, work with your agent, not against them. Your agent is trying to do the best thing for you. Being too adversarial can backfire. Sometimes you can shoot yourself in the foot by pushing too hard. Be collaborative, not combative, and you'll get further.

Don't be the negative magnet. Attract and put your deal together so you can move on down the road.
