Sharing an Important Tip That All Homeowners Need To Be Aware Of

Avoiding Homeowner Headaches

Sharing a recent story that demonstrates one important homeowner tip.

Today, I’m here to share some important advice with all of you homeowners. I recently went out to one of my listings in North Austin, where the homeowner has been out of town for a few weeks, and a bad smell was reported. It turns out that the refrigerator and freezer in their garage went out, so the smell of fish and everything else that was going bad in the unit was permeating through the house.

I’ll need to have that taken care of, but it does bring up a good piece of advice that every homeowner should know: If you’re going to put a fridge or freezer in your garage, spend the money to pay for a dedicated circuit for the unit. Refrigerators and freezers are notorious for tripping the kind of circuit that is in garages, which is what happened in this house. I don’t want it to happen to you.

I highly recommend working with an electrician to get your units on their own circuit. Also, if you want to talk about something or have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. Plus, if you’re thinking about making a move still this year, I’d love to have a conversation with you. You can call or email me anytime, and I’d be happy to chat with you.
